Proverbs 13:20 – Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
This verse from the Old Testament simply means that if you hang out or socialize with people that have learned valuable lessons from life then it will rub off on you. On the other hand, when you hang out with foolish, irresponsible people then you would suffer the same consequences of their bad decisions.
As a child of God we should do life with people that can help us to remain faithful and accountable to Him and each other. That is not to say that we should not try to be an influence to those that don’t know the Lord. We just need to be Wise in how we do it. As another verse says, “He that wins souls is wise.”
Preach it my brother, preach it!
You go, Mark!!! Looking forward to more from you under the heading of “Inspiration.” – Greg
